We are family friendly arcade and are all ages. We are a licensed facility, all minors must be accompanied by an adult and cannot stay after 10PM.

We are centrally located in Metro Vancouver in New Westminster, BC
A short walk from the Sapperton Skytrain station. Bus stops are only 1/2 block away along East Columbia.
A 2-3 minute drive from the Brunette exit of the Trans-Canada Hwy (#1).
We feature 75+ classic video arcade machines from the 70s thru 90s. All of our machines run original classic hardware. No emulators, no Raspberry Pis, no redemption, no LCD monitors. The way classic arcade games are meant to be played. We do not currently have any pinball machines in the arcade.
We believe in friendly competition, so we have a high-score board where you can record your top scores for your favorite games! You don't have to be a record holder to record a score. Our system saves 1,000s of scores for each game so feel free to just record your own personal best to try and beat next time you come in.
Best of all we have made our high-score board available to you online so you can always check out where you rank amongst other players.

Q - HOURLY PLAY?
We are a "free-play" arcade, meaning all the games are set on free-play. To enter you just pay by the hour (day pass - see below) and play whatever games you like during your time. There is no need to pre-book a time, your hour simply starts once you have paid. We do not offer any 'quarter-drop' gaming at this time.
Q - RESERVATIONS?
Our arcade is drop-in only, we do not accept reservations (private party rentals - see below), nor can we hold a spot for late-comers. Our arcade is first-come, first-served.
Q - FLAT-RATE?
At certain times on weekday evenings, the arcade may become a flat-rate arcade. Meaning, you pay for 1 hour, you can stay until close, or if accompanied by a minor, until 10PM. Please follow us on social media or the front page of our website for updates.
Q - DAY PASSES?
Our day passes are calculated based on 2.5 hours of play. Day pass purchasers will receive a wrist-band, giving them come-and-go privlidges. However they are still subject to 'last entry 1 hour before close' rules unless we are notified prior to them leaving. Re-entry subject to arcade capacity (ie. if there is a line, you have to wait in the line to re-enter)
Q - WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY 'NO SPECTATORS'?
Due to our low capacity and too many 'spectators' caught playing games in the past, everyone that enters the building must pay admission, even if they are not playing. All minors must be accompanied by an adult due to LCRB requirements. Those adults must also pay admission.
Q - LAST ENTRY 1 HOUR BEFORE CLOSE?
Because our admission is 'by the hour', the last entry into the arcade is 1 hour prior to closing, no exceptions. Because of BC Liquor Laws all minors must leave immediately at 10pm, therefore the last entry for minors is 9PM.
Q - DO YOU HAVE ANY PARTIAL HOURS?
Our arcade is 'by the hour', we do not offer any partial hour entries. We also do not offer any 'quarter-drop' gaming at this time.
Q - PRIVATE PARTIES?
Our private parties are only available outside our normal 'open to the public' business hours. Please visit our Private Parties page for more info.
Q - TYPES OF PAYMENT
We accept any Canadian-issued and most non-Canadian issued credit cards with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB or Discover logo and Interac Debit cards. We can accept chip or tap transactions, including digital wallet tap transactions. We also accept cash.
Q - PARKING
There is FREE 2-hour city parking in the lane behind our building. Alternatively, there is also pay street parking but after 8PM becomes FREE as well!
Q - FOOD and DRINKS
Canned soft drinks, beer, ciders, hard seltzers, and other beverages are available inside the arcade. Outside food is permitted in the front table area of the arcade only and never at games.
No outside drinks are permitted (except during booked private parties).
Q - OK TO TAKE PHOTOS?
For personal use take as many pictures and videos as you like! For commercial, TV or film shoots, please email us to discuss further. Whenever taking photos or video within Capital City Arcade, please be mindful of other guests.
Q - BUY OR SELL GAMES?
Depending on the game and price, we may be interested in buying games. We generally don’t sell our games, they took us a long time to collect and we are kind of partial to them. However, we may be able to help you find one if you are in the market.
